16U - September 2010-December 2011
Travis Magierowski - 14 years experience as a school administrator, and a strong background coaching and competing at a high-performance and collegiate level; Travis brings a wealth of experience in athlete development and building successful team cultures.
Travis' experiences have focused on creating environments where athletes are challenged to improve, supported in their growth, and encouraged to become leaders on and off the court. This alignment in values is what attracted him to the Panther program.
Sydney Galt - Just ramping up her coaching career, while nearing completion of her combined Kinesiology and Education degree, Sydney is excited to foster an environment of athlete growth, team leadership, and competitiveness. She has previous coaching experience at the youth club levels, with both indoor and beach volleyball.
Sydney played for the Fernie Volleyball Club for 6 years, on a competitive division 1 squad. As an athlete, she finished on the podium of many club, school, and zone teams - both in Canadian and American competitions.
Cam Piers - Cam has had a very successful career as an athlete, and looks forward to passing his positive experiences, to Panther athletes. Cam has worked at Volleyball Alberta Camps and Kodiak Camps, where he is routinely an athlete favourite!
Cam played for the Barrhead Knights, and Barrhead high school team where he accumulated two provincial gold, 1 provincial silver, and a national top 5 finish. He recently competed for the Kodiaks, for three seasons.
Jared Quan - One of the pillars of southern Alberta women's volleyball, and long time Panther coach, we welcome Jared back in an official capacity. After a successful club and college journey in southern Alberta, Jared quickly found a passion for coaching. He has spent time with various clubs, camps, and clinics, but has been a part of either a Panther bench, or support/mentorship staff for the majority of the club's existance. He has also been a fixture of a very successful Coyotes program at Chinook High School for several years.

Ian Bennett - I was quite fortunate to have some amazing coaches in my youth. These coaches helped me shape many guiding principles in my life – from the disciplined pursuit of excellence to the virtue of making decisions based on being a good person. Honoring these coaches is why I began coaching. 28 years later I continue to try to instill the value of being a great teammate and show volleyball players how enjoyable this game can be as their abilities improve.

Rob Wood - I have been very fortunate to be coaching in southern Alberta for over 30 years. I have coached many middle school and high school teams, predominatly at LCI and Gilbert Paterson Middle School. Coaching with the Lethbridge Volleyball Club since the early 2000's have seen many seasons at the top of provincial and national standings. There are also a handful of Team Alberta seasons under my belt. My experience has been predominatly on the boys side, but after a few practices with the 15U Panthers two seasons ago, I'm quite excited to jump to the "other side" of the game and contribute to this excellent envroinment that has been created.
Jamie Brown is returning to the Panther staff after a one year break. Jamie was the head coach for Zone 1 at the 2024 Alberta Winter Games, leading her team to a gold medal finish. She also coached the U16 girls team with Panthers Volleyball Club during the 2024 club season.
Jamie is a trained Development Coach (Level 1) through the NCCP, and is committed to supporting athlete growth through a technical, competitive, and athlete-centered approach.
Jamie brings a strong playing background to her coaching, having competed professionally in Sweden with Engelholms Volleybollsolskap during the 2024–2025 season. Prior to that, she played five seasons with the Lethbridge College Kodiaks (2017–2023), as an outside hitter. During her time with the Kodiaks, she was a two-time ACAC All-Conference selection, named the 2023 ACAC South Player of the Year, earned CCAA All-Canadian honours, and was recognized as the 2023 Senior Athlete of the Year by the Lethbridge Sport Council.
Originally from Fort Macleod, AB, Jamie is a proud Panthers alumni and a pillar of the souther Alberta Volleyball community.
18U - September 2008-December 2009
Parker Bijl - This is Parker Bijl’s 7th year coaching volleyball and 3rd season with Panthers, but brings many years of coaching experience with him. Parker attended the University of Lethbridge where he received his bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology & Education. He is currently a sixth year teacher at Wilson Middle School where he coaches the Senior Girls volleyball program. Parker has his Developmental certification and hopes to pursue his Advanced later this year. His last few seasons of coaching have involved 6 seasons in club, running both Junior & Senior varsity programs in high school, and now middle school level teams. Coach Parker is looking forward to bringing a contagious energy, demonstrating positive leadership, and implementing a dedicated work ethic to the 18U Girls Panthers team.
